Being a girl is hard

Our society teaches girls shame since they are little girls. It makes them feel as though being born female they’re already guilty of something.  The family plays the big role; “close your legs”, “cover yourself”, “should look pretty on family events”, “it’s not nice to have hair on your body” as it’s not acceptable for a girl to live alone neither to go out late and when reaching a certain age you should marry under the society pressure. As so of what mentioned before, girls grow up to be women who cannot say they have desire, they grow to be women who cannot say what they truly think, and they grow up to be women who silence themselves and feel like having a grenade not a body.
We, women, are constantly ashamed for everything so we, as well, might do whatever we want.

We all have relationships with our bodies and we need to take care of that relationship just like any relationship we have with a friend, lover or family member, checking on them, showing them love, giving them hugs we have to give the same energy and love to the relationship to our body. It takes time every day. Be kind to yourself.
